Riege Software Takes Majority Stake in Dutch Subsidiary, Names New Benelux MD
Meerbusch/Düsseldorf, April 2, 2026 – Riege Software, a leading SaaS provider of a transport management system for air and ocean freight as well as customs solutions, has secured the majority stake in its Dutch subsidiary, Riege Software International BV, which recently celebrated its 15th anniversary.
This strategic move strengthens Riege’s position in the European logistics technology market and underlines its commitment to further expanding its presence in the Benelux region. By increasing its ownership share, the company aims to enhance operational efficiency, foster closer cross-border collaboration, and accelerate innovation for its global customer base.
The Dutch entity has developed into a strong and successful operation since its founding. Reflecting on this journey, co-founder and former director Henk Boorsma says: “What started 15 years ago as a joint initiative has grown far beyond expectations. Today we serve more than 250 customers with thousands of users – from small to large freight forwarders, covering ocean freight, air freight and customs alike.”
Martin Bos, who co-founded the company together with Boorsma, sees the transition as a natural next step: “After decades of shaping the industry through automation, this feels like the right moment to hand over to the next generation.”
Leadership Changes – Continuity Assured
To ensure continuity, Henk Boorsma and Martin Bos will support the company during the transition period and will remain available with their experience in the background thereafter.
As part of this transition, Matanja van der Wart, formerly Operations Manager, has been appointed Managing Director Benelux. She will focus on expanding the business in the region, strengthening customer relationships, and driving forward the company’s strategic plans. “We have a strong foundation here in the Benelux, and I’m excited to build on it with our team and customers – and together with the German parent company,” she says.
