Meerbusch/Stockholm – Riege Software strengthens its presence in Northern Europe with a new branch in Sweden. Sascha Plath will become branch manager and, together with his team, dedicate himself to facilitating direct cooperation between freight forwarders and software providers.

The branch office in Stockholm adds another strategic location to Riege Software's seven existing sites. The expansion of the business clearly focuses on personal support for this customer segment: “Riege has distinguished itself from other software providers for decades, not only through an outstanding product, but above all through its first-class service and support. With this branch office, we will be able to provide even better local support and address country-specific requirements in the region,” comments Sascha Plath, former Director Global Operations and Director of Riege Software AB in Stockholm.

Tobias Riege, CEO of Riege Software, is also positive about the company's strategic orientation: “We are noticing increased interest in our services in the Nordic countries. However, Scope is not limited to the software itself, as the product also includes local support. Ideally, this should be provided in the local language, in the same time zone and in line with the local culture. Therefore, it is only logical that we now also have representation in Sweden in order to be able to offer the entire Scope experience in the Nordic countries. I am also very happy for my long-time colleague Sascha Plath.”

The importance of interfaces

According to Sascha Plath, who has been with the company for 25 years, seamless data exchange and unrestricted communication with other systems also play an important role for customers in the Nordic countries: “With Scope, we have succeeded in covering important transport segments, e.g. by integrating the customs software provider Emma Systems via our standard customs interface in Norway, Sweden and Finland. The Nordic countries are also clearly more digital than Germany in the financial sector: many debtors and creditors already exchange their document data electronically so that it does not have to be entered manually. In Germany, electronic invoices will also be mandatory in the B2B sector from January 1, 2025. It's a good thing that Scope has been able to do this for a long time.”

Scope as a fully comprehensive solution for transport management

The steadily growing e-commerce business, both in the Nordic countries and in the rest of Europe, has become increasingly important for the European economy as a whole since the pandemic, creating new requirements for transport companies. In order to meet these demands, a sophisticated transport management system is required that understands these requirements and helps to optimize processes. With Scope, Riege Software offers a fully comprehensive solution for freight forwarders all over the world. The software follows a logical structure, is easy to use and creates data transparency through interfaces and integrated tracking functions.
