Riege Software supports new ONE Record data standard

ONEverter library adapted to One Record Ontology 2.1

The IATA One Record Initiative has officially confirmed the new ontology (version 2.1) in April 2023. Riege Software has already adapted the ONEverter library to the new ontology and now offers full support in converting e-AWB to the ONE Record data standard.

As early as 2021, Riege Software developed the ONEverter, a free open source tool to support the air cargo industry, enabling the conversion of data from the IATA Cargo XML format to ONE Record JSON. With the new version of the ontology, IATA has once again improved the international data standard. Among other things, the latest version includes new eAWB data fields. Accordingly, the ONEverter library has now been adapted to the current data standard of the ONE Record Initiative.

By continuously improving the ONEverter and updating the associated libraries, Riege Software supports the initiatives introduced by IATA to unify the data standard in the air cargo industry and provides a freely accessible tool that makes the harmonization of data in eAWB possible already today.

In addition, developers at Riege Software have released two more Java libraries for ONE Record that can be used by Software Engineers, especially by teams at upcoming IATA hackathons. These contain Java classes that map the data model based on Ontology 2.1 and tools to generate and parse ONE Record JSON. The libraries are specifically optimized for the current ONE Record Ontology datamodel, but are also compatible with older versions of the ontology.
