Forwarding Software “Made in Germany”

More than a label – a commitment.

Originally introduced in Britain by the Merchandise Marks Act 1887, to mark or even stigmatize foreign produce, “Made in Germany” was soon leveraged to a proof of quality and reliability. This is why Germany is number 1 of 52 countries in the Made-in-Country Index. Consumers all over the world trust the indication of origin “Made in Germany” the most. This is the result of a recent survey in 23 countries, conducted by YouGov Market Research and the University of Cambridge which places Germany No. 1 followed by Italy, Great Britain and France.

The label today

As of today the label “Made in Germany” is not controlled by a central regulatory body nor a registered seal of quality. Products made in Germany with a supply by foreign subcontractors may yet be labeled as “Made in Germany” or alternatively as “designed and developed in Germany” or “engineered in Germany”.

The Riege 100% rule

Regardless the actual legal situation, Riege makes sure that the “Made in Germany” quality seal on its forwarding software Scope reflects to a 100% “Made in Germany” policy. Design, development, engineering and final production are solely executed, supervised and quality controlled at the Riege Headquarters in Germany.

“It’s not that we don't trust in the skills and capabilities of developers in other countries, but at the end of the day, we trust more in ourselves. And we feel obliged to guarantee that a Riege product labeled ‘Made in Germany’ is one hundred percent made in Germany.”

– Christian Riege, Co-Owner and SVP Software Development at Riege Software

The quality pledge enhanced

Our commitment to 100% “Made in Germany” is not limited to Scope and the people involved in its creation, improvements and extensions. The quality standard is passed to employees in our branches outside Germany and Europe. They get intense training and coaching to adopt and fulfill these standards for enhanced skills in implementation and support locally. This way we do not only export our product “Made in Germany” but also the label itself.

Seeing is believing.
