Legal payments in Mexico
Scope offers reliable online payment receipts as required by Mexican tax authorities.
The long anticipated requirement for online payment receipts initiated and demanded by Mexico’s tax administration (SAT) came into force on September 1, 2018. This is in line with efforts to tackle corruption and money laundering. This requirement was originally scheduled in the Miscellaneous Fiscal Resolution for 2016 and complements the issuance of electronic invoices that became mandatory on September 1, 2017.
Mexican Scope users have been able to issue CFDI e-invoices directly from Scope since the last quarter of 2017. Now another milestone has been passed. Scope is ready to issue the CFDI electronic payment receipts for these invoices without extra effort or the necessity of re-entering data.
The benefits of this new complementary policy are many, the main advantages are
- No false duplications of installments
- Averting improper cancellation of invoices
- Certainty about settlement of electronic invoices
Now Scope adds extra safety and convenience: Secure single-entry-data with automated exchange of data, streamlining processes and preventing human error and loss of time.
“Supporting users in daily operations as well as the Mexican government's efforts to regulate business accounting makes Scope in many respects an indispensable aide.”
In the all-new Scope Payments module, users only need to enter the payment details and the relevant bank information, and they will immediately be able to register this payment directly wdith SAT who return the official electronic payment receipt in the form of both the PDF and XML. Since both the invoice and the payment are issued from Scope, all data is automatically matched. No additional tool needed and additional sources of error eliminated. No doubt that Scope is an official solution.
