The new hosting center offers the company’s customers faster data connections and higher standards of security and quality.** Riege Software International has to date run its own data center at the company headquarters in Meerbusch, Germany. The provider of software solutions for air and sea freight handling, special solutions for handling agents as well as customs applications decided to expand its constantly growing IT infrastructure with a secure external ITENOS data center in Frankfurt Main in order to provide improved hosting facilities for existing logistics customers and to meet anticipated future demand. Riege Software International retains full control of all externally stored data to ensure security of all customer information. In addition to improved data security and higher fire protection the new location‘s high performance servers guarantee a highly integrated, consistent architecture, based entirely on virtualization. Experienced Riege Software International staff control the operation, maintenance and backup of all software services that have been transferred to the new data center. In order to quickly and optimally adjust the capacities for variable data volumes the new server solutions are individually scalable according to customer requirements. The network offers guaranteed availability and reliability via additional backup connections. Further features of the network include “Quality of Service” (QoS) which provides better service to selected traffic over various technologies. Customers of the software provider who have limited technological capability available to them or who suffer from outdated hardware components, low data bandwidth or insufficient scalability, will benefit from the new external data center.
