Security handling in Airfreight (EU-VO831) “Known Shipper Declaration with expiration date”

According to the Requirements of the German Luftfahrt-Bundesamt 'Known Shipper Declaration with expiration date' we have implemented the requirements in Procars.
On its homepage, the LBA published an updated version of the Shipper Declaration for 2007. According to EU-VO 831, the shipper is now obliged to renew this for each calendar year without further notification. This definitely means considerable effort for the forwarder to retrieve this renewal.
Looking at the bright side, the declaration that the shipment does not contain any dangerous goods is no longer mandatory for each shipment. There will be a transitional period until March 31st 2007 for the retrieval of the new declaration.
