New Service TRAXON Europe

2003/08/01

Airwaybill Status Tracking (AST), the new Service from TRAXON Europe was presented on the Air Cargo Europe in Munich [2003-05-20].

Many carriers do not supply forwarders with automatic status messages (FSU). The forwarder has to send a status request (FSR) to the Airline manually and will then receive an answer (FSA) with the current status. This process is time consuming and unsatisfactory as the forwarder must continue to send (and pay for) FSR messages to get the current status of a Shipment.

The new AST system from Traxon continually monitors the status of consignments on the Airline system and sends a Status Update (FSU) to the forwarder when the status changes.

All CCS-CC (Cargo Community System Clearing Center) customers may now use this new facility to access current status information for a further 50 Airlines in the Procars internal Tracking and Tracing module.
