25 Years Riege Software International

For 25 years Riege Software International GmbH has been successfully active in the software market. The company managed to establish itself as a market leader for software solutions and as a consultant in the fields of air and ocean freight with Procars (Professional Carriage Systems). Riege Software created a product which has become a standard in the freight forwarding industry. Among our customers are renowned companies like Birkart Globistics, DACHSER, Schenker AG or OWENS. Riege Software is represented world-wide in more than 35 countries like Australia, Brazil, Hong Kong and the US with its software Procars.
The success story of Riege Software International started as early as in spring 1978: then, Johannes Riege developed software programmes for the air freight industry. The first system was installed in the US for a freight forwarding company and was still running on a DATAPOINT system.
1985 Riege Software International GmbH was founded in Germany.
The original product, with which Johannes Riege had begun his work, was renamed into Procars. Due to growing requirements Procars was moved into UNIX in the early 90ties. With Procars carriers can handle their air and ocean shipments from data entry to delivery, supply the management with all the necessary statistical data, and profit from the performance capacity of the diverse Clearing Centres of Riege Software for their data exchange activities.
Nowadays, all usual market requirements of freight forwarding are fully integrated into Procars. The manifold requirements of the logistics industry, being subject to constant change, are implemented by a deeply experienced and innovative high performance team. Due to its modular structure the software Procars can easily be adjusted to the individual customer's needs at any time.
