History
As early as 1979 Johannes Riege was developing computer systems for the freight industry. The first system catered for airfreight and was installed in the USA running on DATAPOINT equipment. In 1985 Riege Software International was formed in Germany and built upon that early work. The product was renamed Procars (Professional Carriage Systems), and was restyled to run on Personal Computers.
Evolution
It was later ported to UNIX to cater for the growing demand experienced in the early 1990's for UNIX solutions.
Integration
Procars is a fully integrated freight system encompassing all aspects of freight movement. Through its modular structure it can be built up to suit client demands.
Expansion
In addition to the software developments in meeting the requirements of new platforms, and every demands functionality changes, Riege Software International has also grown. From its original base in Germany, offices have now been established in Australia, Belgium, Hong Kong, and the USA.
