Established in 1948 an spun off from Kinki Nippon Railway Co., Ltd., KWE has developed to one of the world’s leading logistics provider and achieved excellent reputation in terms of service and reliability. In 1997, Kintetsu World Express opened its subsidiary in Switzerland with offices in Zurich Airport (Bassersdorf) and Geneva Airport. Since then, KWE Switzerland has developed to a powerful partner for Air- and Ocean Freight Services. In November 2004, a Sales Office in Gossau – St. Gallen has been added and in January 2008, KWE Zurich opened its own Service Terminal. KWE’s service is highly appreciated among the Swiss Customers, whereby Air- and Ocean Services to and from the Far East belong to the core competences of the company.
KWE Switzerland handles a yearly volume of 12‘000 shipments and approximately 5000 tons. Main commodities are industrial machinery and their spare parts, precision instruments, tools, electrical appliances and medical equipment.
Additionally, KWE Switzerland also gained a profound experience to handle very sensitive goods like Swiss Chocolate, temperature controlled medicals as well as various luxury items and fashion accessories.
